There are many, I mean most church doctrines, deceive you by taking out a few verses and trying to teach like that is all there is to God's way of salvation. Sure, you can extract a few verses from the rest of God's Word and make it look like it is saying most anything. But, learn the most important thing..... YOU MUST TAKE IT ALL. You cannot reject other places in Scripture. It is all God's word or none of it is. You cannot reject the Book of Acts and think a few verses in Romans is all you need and will get you to heaven. The churches who teach it this way are deceivers. They lead you to believe that you can live in sin and still make it to heaven, just because you said, I believe.
