Let it Be

To never again hear your voice

To never again walk hand in hand

Is almost more than I can stand;

But then I was not given a choice.

To never again hear your beautiful singing

To never again hear the lovely music you play

Is a grief to my heart every single day.

To your beautiful memory I am clinging.

To never again listen to your great wisdom 

To never again play the games we played

And then add to this the times that together we prayed

Becomes a broken and marred kingdom. 

Together we made the light to shine

Together we made everything good

We walked in unison as we should;

Together we made life Devine. 

To wake up and see your sweet smile

To hear your bubbling laughter

Would give me joy forever after.

To have to live without you is life’s greatest trial.

There is nothing that can ever replace

You in my life or mind.

Your love was the greatest find.

Only death can from my mind you erase.  

I live for the time when we will reunite.

This is a promise from our God

That together again we shall trod.

I yearn for this with all my might.

But for now I have a race to run

I have a gift from God that I must fulfill

And that is the truth in others to instill.

I will accomplish this before I am done. 

Only then will He allow me to come there

Then I pray He will others send

To teach real truth until the end.

Only then will peace be everywhere. 

So Let it be true

That I accomplish

His greatest wish

Then I can again be with you.
