The End of the Way

I came to the end of the way.

I faced it without fear or dread.

If you have lived your life Spirit Led,

You have ahead of you, a much better day.

I looked ahead and saw a beautiful rainbow.

I know it was the Holy City’s golden glow.

Why would anyone dread that I do not know.

It just goes to show

That serving Jesus is the only way to go.

Forget the things that are past.

We know this sorrow will not last.

Do not look at the mistakes you made

But know they are forgiven because you have prayed.

Love with all your might.

Fight the Holy fight.

Know that in the end it will turn out right.

God has shown me His Holy Light.

Do not be distracted by things that do not matter.

Jesus said if you do not gather you will scatter.

Keep your eyes on the heavenly goal.

In the end He will cleanse and make you whole.

Feed on the Word of God

We will walk where the apostles trod.

Do not allow weak things to make you fall.

Listen for the Father’s Holy Call.

One Day He will say, Come home to me.

Now is the time you will become totally free.

At times you have to me been blind.

But now you may leave all of life’s burdens behind. 

So, instead of fear and dread

I now look ahead

To the glorious time

When Heaven will be mine. 

I now come to the time to cross into the Holy City.

So do not for me feel any pity.

This has been my life’s ambition

That I make this holy transition.

I look forward to seeing my LORD.

His commandments I have not ignored. 

The Golden bells will ring

And the Angels will sing

When I step inside the pearly gate.

I will then be given my golden breastplate.

So, weep not for me.

I will be happy as you can see.

I embrace my leaving with delight

for I will have come to where there is no night. 

When I come to the end of the way

I will rejoice in my new day. 

I have gone with Jesus all the way

And now He will to me say,

Well done, good and faithful Servant.

Welcome HOME.

Amen!
