I imagined it was lost I determined to find it again at any cost. I searched high and low Not knowing where else to go. I must find it; I can’t live without it. No matter what comes I will not quit. I know you have loved me from the day I was born. But now I feel that from me it has been torn. It hurts like a big thorn And for this, all I can do is mourn. Why did your love for me go away? What did I do to make it stray? If all is not lost let me hear you say “My love for you is here to stay”. Without your love, my heart is not complete. With your Spirit, nothing else can compete. Your glory swept me off my feet. Being near you is a glorious treat. I fear your love is gone so all I can do is cry. But no, once again I will rise up and try To find that glory that you gave my soul. Your love is all that can make me whole. How did I so offend That You from me your love did send? We walked together and had glorious fun. I could enjoy you until the day is done. Have any of you seen my precious Love? His Spirit is my eternal dove. His love sent me high on the Mountain. He was my living fountain. With you, I could soar to the stars. I feel I could even land on Mars. I looked under every rock. I searched among every flock. Did you ascend to the sun or moon? If so, will you return very soon? Perhaps you raced down a river? You have always been a perfect giver. You gave me love, joy and peace. You caused my faith to increase. You said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake’. But now I feel that I am in an empty lake. Where did your love for me go? You said to me, I want you to know That my love for you is safe and sure. But you must learn how to endure. Never fear My Child or lose hope again. My love has been here all the time. You are mine and I am thine. My Love makes your face to shine. Oh, glorious and blessed Day. Your love has returned to stay. I will never again stray For you keep me night and day. I searched and prayed and cried For your love, I would have died. But you said, search no more nor fear. I am always very near. I have now found peace for a lifetime. Because Your love was there all the time. Everything is now forever fine. Your love was there all the time.
