The day is oh so blue When there is no one with you. You have nothing to do But sit and chew. Then everything taste like glue Because there is no you. This day is red And you failed to make your bed. So now with that said, It spins around in your head. I found a day that is yellow It is very good and mellow. He is a really good fellow Because he brought me a marshmallow. I prefer a day that is pink I will take this in a wink. And if that is what you think We can be there in a blink Never forget a day that is green In this day you will think you are a queen. It is the most lovely that one has seen And that is what I mean. You will think you fell through a crack When your day is black. They named him Jack And put him on a torture rack. You may find a day that is orange to be boring. But it will soon have your spirit soaring. You will be exploring A mighty outpouring. If your day turns purple You will end up running in a circle. And don’t forget brown This one will make you frown. I truly long for a day that is white I wish for this with all my might. I will grab it and hold it tight. I will never take this light. If you would like to color with me We will run and be free. I wish to go to the sea And there eat a pie and drink some tea. Never underestimate what the color of a day means. There we will all be like teens Running and playing and watching wrens. And everyone will finally be friends. Amen and amen. |
